
Division 433 is named after Queen Mother Rosa Montgomery and the Honorable Percival L Burroughs.
Ms Rosa Montgomery was was Lady President of the UNIA Division 79. She graduated from a Beauty school of Culture and opened up her own hair salon in Buffalo. As Lady President she was in charge of all women events, and most of the entertainment/ style events. She was also in charge of all the junior events and taught the children Garveyism.
Percival L Burroughs born in Barbados and immigrated to the United States in 1904 and was described in the Negro World as a self made man. He rose quickly through the UNIA ranks and established a small newspaper entitled THE VOICE OF BUFFALO. He became UNIA High Commissioner for the Islands of Trinidad, Tobago, St Vincent, and Grenada. He also was High Commisioner for Brazil and Venezuela. Under his leadership the UNIA established 21 new divisions in his area. He was promoted by Marcus Garvey to 1st assistant PG. He is know for saying ETHIOPIA WILL RISE AGAIN!
