In New York, the UNIA interest-owned BLACK FOOD MARKET – FACA ♦ROC – located at 132-05 Merrick Blvd (inside Belknap Street) is open 7 days per week providing all the dry goods, fish, meats, produce and vegetables. In Liberia, the UNIA owned LIBERTY FARM on 50 acres in Grand Bassa County produces cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, lettuce, melons, plantains, tomatoes, etc.. The Marcus Garvey Academy in Grand Bassa County registered its first 7 students. The UNIA operated Rosedale Soccer Club in Queens, NY is for youths aged 5 to 14.

Mr. Garvey built a mass organization that went beyond mere civil-rights agitation and protest and based itself upon a definitive, well thought out program that would lead to the total emancipation of the Black Race with foreign dominion.

The Universal Negro Improvement Association and African Communities League (UNIA♦ACL) is a social, friendly humanitarian, charitable, educational, institutional, constructive, and expansive society founded by Marcus Garvey on Monday, July 20, 1914 in Kingston, Jamaica so as to work for the general uplift of Africans worldwide.

Let justice be done to all mankind, realizing that if the strong oppresses the weak, confusion and discontent will ever amrk the path of man, but with love, faith and charity towards all, the reign of peace and plenty will be heralded into the world and the generations of men shall be call Blessed.
